The VA Loan Benefit You Earned — And Probably Aren't Using Right
A $12, no-fluff field manual that walks you from pulling your Certificate of Eligibility to closing day on your first home — with $0 down and no private mortgage insurance.
Nobody actually teaches you to use it
Transition class teaches you to translate your MOS into a résumé. It does not teach you how to turn the single most valuable benefit you earned into an actual house.
So most veterans do one of two things: they never use the VA loan at all, or they use it once, blind, and leave thousands on the table — overpaying on the funding fee, getting steered by a lender who barely does VA loans, or believing the myths that talk them out of the benefit entirely.
The down payment is the wall that keeps you renting. The VA loan removes it — if you know how to use it.
What you'll be able to do
- Pull your Certificate of Eligibility and know exactly what your entitlement means.
- Spot a lender who actually knows VA loans — and avoid the ones who don't.
- Walk into closing with $0 down and no surprise on the funding fee.
- Understand the funding fee, the disability waiver, and how to roll it in.
- Clear the appraisal and minimum property requirements without losing the deal.
- Reuse the benefit later and restore your entitlement for the next property.
$12.
Less than lunch. The mistakes it prevents — years of renting, PMI you never needed, an overpriced funding fee — cost thousands. You'll spend that money one way or another. Spend $12 making sure it goes the right direction.
Who's teaching this
School of Grit was founded by Corey Reiser — a West Point graduate and former U.S. Army artillery officer with two deployments to Afghanistan, a former ROTC instructor, and a real estate investor. He built this to help service members turn military discipline into financial independence, starting with the benefit you already earned.
Straight answers
- Is it really only $12?
- Yes. One-time payment, lifetime access. We priced it low on purpose — the point is to get the knowledge into your hands before you make a six-figure decision without it.
- I already used my VA loan once. Is this still for me?
- Yes. The benefit can be reused and your entitlement can be restored, and most people leave money on the table the second time too. The course covers reuse and entitlement, not just first-time buying.
- Do I need great credit or a big savings account?
- The VA sets no minimum credit score (individual lenders do), and the whole point of the benefit is buying with no down payment. The course shows you how to find a VA-savvy lender and what they actually look for.
- How long does it take to go through?
- You can get through the core material in an afternoon and refer back to it as you move through your own purchase, step by step.
- Is School of Grit affiliated with the VA?
- No. We are a private education company, not affiliated with or endorsed by the VA, the DoD, or any government agency. We teach you how to use a benefit you already earned.
